And that's how KEIKO first came to our attention. We're not even
going to try to pidgeon hole these guys into any particular genre,
or try to tell you who their influences are.
It has been said that there’s nothing new under the sun,
and like most things that’s not entirely true – all
you need to do is smash up everything that has gone before and
re-arrange the parts into vibrant, exciting and above all new
shapes. KEIKO do exactly that!
Young enough to still think they can make a difference Keiko have
ideas coming out of their ears and a sound all of their own. It’s
a sound as disparate yet fully integrated as the personalities
of the three band members; feral / cerebral, abrasive / melodic,
jerky / groovy, intricate / minimalist. With typically self-depreciating
humour, the band themselves describe it as “a total clusterfuck”.
