Already well-known on the underground gigging circuit LYU are now forging ahead with the release of their EP 'From Something To Nothing'.
Having started with gigs in the local unused bus depot and a variety of fields, youth centres, and village halls, they have now progressed to the relative comfort of proper gig venues and showcased at the National Rock and Pop Festival at the Birmingham NEC last year.
They have already played a live acoustic session on Kerrang! Radio.........and had a request to play at the Stockholm Music Festival 2008......and they still only have an average age of 16!
This year, their own particular brand of melodic punk/rock achieved No 21 on the myspace charts for the amounts of plays in a day for all the myspace bands and their local HMV store saw them reach best selling CD of the week. Original experiences and ideas are what the band is about.....but they will admit to the occasional influence such as Thrice, Story of the Year and 36 Crazy Fists.
Summer UK Tour July/August is scheduled.
