To End All Songs After selling-out two EPs and their debut album “It´s So OK.” Colourful Grey from Frankfurt has drawn the international music scene’s attention to their captivating sound. The band is heavily influenced by up tempo pop punk, melancholy emo passion and post hardcore grind. In April 2004 Colourful Grey played their first tour outside Germany and knocked everyone’s socks off with their energetic live shows. Philipp Lemhoffer was the founding member of the band with Jan Geissler (bass) and Martin Loos (drums) and Boris (guitar) in December 2000. Their first recording was a contribution to a compilation introducing young bands from Frankfurt. When COLOURFUL GREY began to play regularly outside their local area they received excellent reviews for their energetic live performance. In 2003 Simon Lukas joined the band as second guitar player, giving Philipp the chance to focus more on singing. From this point the band began to develop its own inimitable sound and style. During 2004, as a give away for fans and friends the band put out a documentary of their last tour on DVD (entitled "Magical Misery Tour") which they filmed by themselves on a hand camera (DIY spirit or what!). It contains live footage, behind-the-scenes action and a promo video for a new song. While their debut album could be considered as a compilation of their live material written over a three year period, the new album will be more homogenous and focused without neglecting Colourful Grey’s characteristic sound which always experiments with different styles and moods.
