Paying homage to early 90’s rock/punk bands like Sonic Youth and Mudhoney, the band play their own brand of grunge hard-core with a political undertone and Chris Isaak influences. Their debut release 'Comparing The Comfort' is music straight from the heart with just a 'little bit' of irony. They have played several small Swedish festivals; been featured on public service radio and played on TV NORD's 'Dromedar' programme when they shared the stage with a Christmas tree and a stuffed camel! The thing about Happy Trash Culture is that they do not claim to sound different to every other band they just believe other bands don’t sound like HTC.
