IGUT formed in 2002 in Zagreb, Croatia, and since then have developed their own style of black rock: brutal guitars, heavy drumming and dark lyrics all layered together to create a wall of intense negativity and strength.
Their varied influences include: Converge, Opeth, Mastodon, Neurosis, All, Descendents, Led Zeppelin.....and surprisingly, Johnny Cash, and they have taken inspiration from these and others for their debut album for Mother Should Know Records.
Recorded and produced in Zagreb by Ivan Jakić, 'Eternities' is a call to arms, relentless and uncompromising. IGUT are determined to bring their music out of Croatia where they have received massive support on Student Radio and also featured on ZI Croatian TV Channel.
For the last few years they have been firm favourites on the Festival Circuit in Croatia, and Slovenia supporting many well-respected bands on the Eastern European leg of their tours.

Building on a positive reaction to their first album, SOULS have been inspired by sonic soundscapes for their second album, 'Simple Terms and Conditions'.
Frustrated by general apathy and complacency, they've honed their ideas into eleven, dark, brooding tracks of alternative rock accompanied by intense vocals.
Recorded by Rik Dowding (Portishead-live sound engineer) at State of Art Studio, Easton, Bristol, this album is an amalgamation of varied influences: everything from Queens of the Stone Age, Serafin and Cave-In to Nirvana, Cooper Temple Clause and Killing Joke.
During the four years they have been together, they have toured with Alamos, Six By Seven and The Scare and have shared the stage with The Editors; they've played Itchycoo Festival (Headliners- Blue Aeroplanes); and had radio spot plays on Radio Xfm, BBC Radio Bristol, and other online radio stations.
SOULS will be taking their 'attitude-fuelled' live performances on tour again throughout the summer and autumn to support this release - check out the band's website for full details.

Based in Bern, Switzerland, parties break hearts are forging ahead despite being formed for less than a year.
Already they've played the Openair Eichlerhuus 2007 with The Real McKenzies and Müh Fest 2007 with Insane and Estate toured with The Flatliners, The Underwater, and The Idoru; and are currently receiving considerable radio interest at home in Switzerland.
Their debut album 'life is too short to dance with ugly people', was recorded at Mondaine Recordings (Lucerne) by Tobtob and mastered by Marco Jencarelli at Soundfarm and they feel it is a genuine uncluttered sound that defines the band: a complete expression of where they are musically at the moment.
Having taken influences from Story of the Year, Lost Prophets, Reuben, Jimmy Eat World, Funeral For Friend to name but a few, the band has evolved and progressed and is now receiving great feedback to their explosive live show.

Blues and Snake S/T Album £7.50
Released 16th June 2008
1. you’ve struck gold 2. fine just fine 3. sailing to the moon 4. unforgivable 5. dirty women 6. my grass 7. fishing for green 8. sexy lady 9. fishermans boat 10. safe as f*** 11. bag of drum 12. born to snake
Based in Manchester, mainly in singer Ash's bedroom and occasionally in his garage, BLUES AND SNAKE are uncompromising in their musical delivery and wild partying. The self-titled album was a sudden idea born of skulls, tattoos of skulls, motorbikes, heavy metal influences and a dislike of 'scarf culture'.
It came together during a week of recording with John Kettle in a studio on a greyhound breeding farm in Wigan.......a place not well-known for alternative rock and blues until now........... With Bad Brains, White Zombie, Hank Williams and the Beastie Boys listed as their listening preferences, it’s not surprising that this album is a turbulent musical assault.
They’ve shared the stage with Heavy Trash and Domino Bones and will be playing on two days at the Forgotten Valley Festival in Cumbria in May 2008 (headliners Happy Mondays).

Formed in 2004 in the Casais Lisbon, REJECTS UNITED play their own mix of rock/ punk / metal which they hope sends a message of hope to all the rejects in the world. Rock music is their voice of choice.
They have taken influences from Foo Fighters; Velvet Revolver; A Perfect Circle; My Chemical Romance; Ignite; Metallica and The Haunted for the writing of 'Boyhood Survival Kit', which tells of the struggles, indecisions and dramas of growing up.
The semi-conceptual album focuses on a boy who loses his mind when he suffers yet another rejection and explores how this can affect a person's mental state.
A great rock album not to be missed from one of Portugal's premier bands.

Influenced by Faith No More; The Wildhearts; Rocket From The Crypt; Primus and even Brian Wilson, they play uncompromising heavy alternative rock with punk attitude and passion......a heavyweight mix!

Reality Check
14 - 15
Based in Llantwit Major, a coastal town of South Wales, but feeling more like time-travellers on the M4 in recent years, A NEW DAY have gigged the length and breadth of the UK touring and sharing the stage with many of their favourite bands: A Wilhelm Scream; The Casualties; Failsafe; Sonic Boom Six; 4ft Fingers and The Disappointments.
Punk rock has been in their souls for years and the hard edged energetic pace of their songs evolved over many years as they experienced events together on the road and they feel that their debut EP 'Perfect Passion' sums up this attitude to their music. Something they want to convey to as many people as possible through their live shows.
'Perfect Passion' was recorded and mixed by Todd Cambell at SKWAD HQ Pontypridd, which is fast becoming the studio of choice for a clutch of emerging Welsh bands and it sums up the enthusiasm, drive and punk rock attitude existing in the band. Already, the band's demo songs have featured on ITV Television documentaries "It's Your Shout"; been played on Radio Bridge FM; Celtica Online Radio and several university radio stations.
This is just the beginning!

Now released on their own independent label in Israel, the band has hooked up with Lockjaw Records for this and future UK and European releases.
While the band still considers their base to be Holon in Israel, they relocated to Ireland in 2007 followed by Germany and are now planning their move to the UK during the summer 2008.
'Possibly Not' was recorded at Hamaklet Studios, Holon with additional recording at Boten Studios, Ashkelon, both in Israel, and takes influences from Mozart, Franz Liszt, Brian Eno, Jim Morrison, Syd Barret, King Crimson, Elliot Smith, Beck, Traffic, Radiohead, The Beatles and reflects the enormous interest for Prog Rock at the moment. The band is enjoying exceptional reviews wherever they play throughout Europe.
Their musical ability is exceptional and they frequently improvise at their live shows to create "pure music with no walls of right or wrong" which the band believes is the most honest and personal moment they can share with their audience. Possibly Not is an exceptional album!

Tribute To Nothing have never lost their early punk rock beliefs – they just get older and keep on gigging.......they probably always will.
2006 -2007 saw a succession of tours, shows and festivals throughout the UK and mainland Europe with the likes of Boysetsfire; Hot Water Music; No Use For A Name, Sounds Like Violence, The Donots and others, along with impressive appearances at Berlinova and Köln’s Ringfest.
The band also played in London on 'Deconstruction', Europe's biggest Punk-Rock tour, and featured on the huge selling DVD from the tour!
The new album, 'Breathe How You Want To Breathe' is a progression from the original alternative hardcore sound on previous albums and occasionally adds a few mellow moments to their gritty punk rock trademark sound whilst also including guest vocals from Lucy Harvey-Wells, something they never anticipated in those hardcore days of the late nineties.
Frequent headliners on the European festival circuit, they will set out again in April to support the release of their 6th album, ‘Breathe How You Want To Breathe’ and in May they will team up with other Lockjaw Records bands for shows throughout the UK.

Happy Trash Culture Comparing The Comfort Album £7.50
Released 7th April 2008
1. Tada 2. Frisky Pet 3. All of Me 4. Paralyzed Paradise 5. Fine 6. In The Clear 7. Gill The Refill 8. Empty Shell 9. Plastic Animals 10. Finding New Places 11. Save Yourself
Based in Stockholm, HAPPY TRASH CULTURE gradually formed over a few years, finally getting a sense of direction and their name in 2001.
Paying homage to early 90’s rock/punk bands like Sonic Youth and Mudhoney, the band play their own brand of grunge hard-core with a political undertone and Chris Isaak influences. Their debut release 'Comparing The Comfort' is music straight from the heart with just a 'little bit' of irony.
They have played several small Swedish festivals; been featured on public service radio and played on TV NORD's 'Dromedar' programme when they shared the stage with a Christmas tree and a stuffed camel!
The thing about Happy Trash Culture is that they do not claim to sound different to every other band they just believe other bands don’t sound like HTC. Neither do other bands play bass guitars that once belonged to infamous Swedish cop-killers as David once did!

Device Obstacles and Playgrounds Album £7.50
Released 31st March 2008
1. An Automatic Fear 2. Motion Sickness 3. Scattered Fall 4. Public Show 5. A Decade In 6. Reflections 7. Obstacles and Playgrounds 8. Evacuate 9. Slow 10. Whilst We're On The Subject
With the intention of writing songs that cannot be pigeon-holed and after playing in numerous local bands with many varied influences, DEVICE have produced a powerful passionate rock album with energy, pace and memorable lyrics.
'Obstacles and Playgrounds' was recorded in 2007 by Tom Joyce at the Sawmills, Cornwall (Muse, Oasis, etc) and they feel the experience of recording in this secluded location gave them the inspiration to develop their songs even further.
The release of ‘Obstacles and Playgrounds’ follows the band’s appearances at two UK festivals during the summer of 2007: ‘Parklife’, Milton Keynes (headline) and ‘Rhythms of the World’, Hitchin, as well as an interview and acoustic set on Sky‘s MKTV.
Based in Zug Switzerland, Pure Soundart was formed in 2005 after a collaboration between Dominique Marcel Iten and Fabian Müller who were playing together in the band Drive.
Influenced by ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Sparta and At The Drive-In, they like to "live the show and the moment" in their live performances and have now launched their debut UK release 'Emo Is Dead' to coincide with a European and UK tour during March 2008. Their music is intense, heavy, wild and unrestrained very much a band-led expression of their feelings and experiences. With a large following in their home country Switzerland, the time was right to take on the rest of Europe. With their debut UK release, "Emo Is Dead" they aimed to write dirty, ass-kicking, honest music to make the listener think ........... music to make people happy and give them hope. On tour in the UK during February/March 2008

Eight Page Pullout Stand Up Mini-album £3.75
Released 17th March 2008
1. Stand Up 2. Happy Ending 3. For King and Country? 4. The Good Times 5. Miss Adventure
Optimism in the face of adversity is the inspiration behind Eight Page Pullout’s debut release for Lockjaw Records. 'Stand Up' champions the courage of individuals who use their skills in the belief that one person can make a difference.
The guys in the band have been best friends since school days and have played together in Eight Page Pullout for 6 years. Their early beginnings were pop punk but lately they have been influenced by Eve 6; Idelewild; Taking Back Sunday; Jimmy Eat World and Runrig and their music has changed direction.
Glasgow University Radio has already featured a session and interview with the band and their first demo was played on Radio 1 (Steve Lamacq) and Radio XFM (Martin Bate & Jim Gellatly).
No strangers to the gigging circuit, they have toured with Rufio, The Damned, [Spunge] and 4ft Fingers and headlined festivals in France. So maybe it’s time to tune in to the band that sing anthemic melody-driven songs in Scottish style.........and occasionally hand out Kinder eggs to an unsuspecting audience!!
Eight Page Pullout will be on tour again in March to support the release – full details on the band’s website.

Having received critical acclaim for their first EP including KKKK review in Kerrang!, THREE YEARS HIDING gigged their way around the UK, made thousands of new friends and gained a wealth of experience which they have converted into songs for their debut album. The album acknowledges their varied influences: Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, Minus The Bear, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol, but never strays from the THREE YEARS HIDING concept. During the last two years, they were pleased to share the stage with Kids In Glass Houses, Enter Shikari and Beat Union and now with Andy concentrating on vocals and new member Dan joining on bass/vocals, the line-up is stronger than ever - 13 melodic tracks of powerful atmospheric guitar driven rock with underlying punk rock attitude that have already been featured by Catbird on Total Rock Radio.

1. Congratulations On Your Decision To Become A Criminal 2. Space Raiders 3. Rec-Error 4. Sorry To Disappoint You But...
NO KILTER formed in Glasgow in 2005 with the aim of producing interesting music that blends the intensity of punk with the complexity of math rock and was fun to play live.
Strongly influenced by the DIY ethic and being inspired by bands such as Don Caballero, Fugazi, Faraquet, At The Drive-In and Drive Like Jehu, their debut EP 'Galore Nation' is energetic exciting music which reflects the atmosphere of their live shows.
Having just completed a tour with Mutiny on the Bounty in August 2007 and shared the stage with Don Caballero (Touch And Go Records), The Smackdown (Sweden), Fickle Public and Russian Circles (USA) they are well known on the gigging circuit in their native Scotland.

Formed in Rugby in 2002, NO REMOTE has already shared stages with The Wildhearts, Reuben, Oceansize, Steroegram and Cursive whilst they developed their sound and style. The band says their songs are like excerpts from a diary - this EP being a document of the last year leading up to the release, a series of snapshots of their everyday (and sometimes not so everyday) lives. Influenced by the music played by their parents whilst growing up and current day giants such as Smashing Pumpkins, Weezer, The Lemonheads, Longpigs, R.E.M, Jimmy Eat World, Dinosaur Jr,NO REMOTE pigeon-hole their style of music as alternative rock played by a band who believe that 'pop' shouldn't always be a dirty word in the alternative sector.

Blast Stereos Loud Burn EP £3.75
Released 22nd October 2007
1. Burn 2. Long Time Dead 3. A Hollywood Ending 4. Leave Tonight Behind
After early beginnings in 2001, the final line-up of BLAST STEREOS LOUD was completed in 2005. Since then with constant touring and crowd participation both at shows and on the net, they have carved out an impressive and appreciative fanbase. Emerging from the new music scene in Stoke on Trent, they may soon be on a collision course with other more established touring bands. A force to be reckoned with!
Driven beyond doubt by an innate passion for the music they play, BLAST STEREOS LOUD combine emotive lyrical hooks with haunting chord progressions.
The band like to keep the music dark and the melody light, finding that this contrast attracts a wider audience to their music. BSL always try and justify that the two sides of their music; serious, dark, deep songs and on the other hand happy uplifting "tap your foot" songs. Post-Hardcore/Emo/Punk Rock at its best!
The band have just completed a tour with Death Can Dance and have also shared the stage with Useless ID, Kids In Glass Houses and The Blackout. Autumn shows start on 24th September (07)– full details on the band's website.
1. Concealing Our Cards 2. Unplug Your Wires and Smash That Fuckin' Window Pane 3. Lights Across The Water 4. What's All The Commotion? 5. My Life Under A Bus Shelter 6. 4am Onwards
Based in Exmouth, band members Ed, Alex and Matt formed a band at school after sharing the same passion for playing music which was slightly different to typical teenage pop punk school bands.
Listening to bands like At The Drive-In and Deftones has influenced the way their songs are written - you can feel the passion and energy coming across on the CD which is something they love to achieve. The band describes their music as Progressive, Experimental, Dynamic Post-Hardcore, and you can’t get nearer to it than that! The title of the E.P. refers to how people tell themselves what they want to hear because it can be easier than facing the truth. Lyrically the songs document different stages and aspects of personal situations, but not necessarily those of the band members. Highlighted by memorable guitar riffs, superb vocals and chunky sounding drums this has to be a release that will catch everyone's attention.
RESONATE do not follow any image; they're 100% about the music which is an advantage because they are not automatically judged by what they wear; giving them the power to surprise people.

Governors Of California Pressure Points Mini-Album £2.00
Released 21st May 2007
1. Pressure Points 2. Destroy Something Beautiful 3. Take What You Need 4. Take Aim, Shoot 5. We Let Them Fall Down 6. I.C.
G.o.C describe there music as twisted, deranged pop songs, though at first listen you can be easily distracted by the raw, hyperactive sound of screeching and shimmering guitar’s and a rhythm section so precise you would think they were half machine, but underneath at the core of the songs lies sharp melodies and undeniable talent for a hook that draws you deeper into the music.
Fused with front man Jed’s intense yet distinctive vocal delivery and his ability to adapt to represent the light and dark sides of this band, intelligent song structures, jaw dropping explosive live shows and a sound so unrestricted and unfazed by today’s ever growing predictable music scene, Governors of California are a truly original force that is hard to compare and yet be matched.
Governors of California were formed in 2005, based on the idea of writing intelligent and unpredictable pop music. Before long, one of there songs caught the attention of producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Killswitch engage, Bloc Party)who invited them to record there debut E.P ‘I.C’ at his Magic Garden studios. Recorded and mixed in one day, The E.P eventually ended up at the door of lockjaw records. Numerous conversations later, G.o.C were invited to join the roster and offered an album deal which has now been finalised.
With the debut mini-album ‘Pressure Points’ finished and penned for release in late Spring, New member Taz,bought in for guitar duties and gigs being lined up all around the U.K, catch them while you can. In the bands own words “Were you’re new favourite band, you just don’t know it yet”.

Soon the will to create something that would not sound like an ordinary garage band stood up to be the primary goal. Described by a friend as King Crimson on steroids, the sound reveals a chaotic vision constructed and ordered in a progressive way, which turns each song into an endless journey of different scenarios. Monogono's main influences are King Crimson and Meshuggah. Amuk is the first open window into the world of Monogono, yet just a glimpse of what the future may bring.
