For the last three years, Cambridge based The Mono Effect has featured in national press, toured and gigged the length and breadth of the UK and featured regularly on Radio One with their melodic power rock songs. Taking influences from previous bands (including Phinius Cage), they pushed their four part harmonies and driven rock to the limit; recorded 'Giants' with Russ Russell (Wildhearts / Napalm Death) and secured a release with Lockjaw Records. 'Giants' was recorded at Foel Studios, Wales and Parlour Studios, Northampton and the THE MONO EFFECT are happy that it includes the power, dynamics and melodies which are the band’s trademark whilst reflecting their influences (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins). During their heavy gigging schedule they have shared the stage with Jetplane Landing, Brigade, Seafood, Fighting with Wire and Dive Dive......... to name a few...... ....and will be touring again throughout late 2008 and early 2009.
