Rat Attack are a 4 piece Punk/Hardcore band from Exeter, they have been playing together for 2 years now. They have received high praise from champions of the industry such as Mike Davies from the Radio 1 Punk Show who has given them plays on his show and a session is on the cards for later in the year.
The name ‘This Is Art’ comes from their confusion surrounding the modern interpretation of art, they thought if an unmade bed in the middle of a room can warrant one of the most prestigious awards in the art world, why couldn’t this be art!
The EP was recorded at The Outhouse Studios in Reading (responsible for Your Demise, Enter Shikari, Architects etc.)
Rat Attack have their influences, but have decided to not slip into the same patterns as their piers. Taking cues from bands like Refused and Comeback Kid they have a sculpted something which they hope will be instantly recognizable as Rat Attack. Not just your simple full pace hardcore. It’s catchy without being poppy but still heavy as a tonne of bricks with a hangover.
Rat Attack have toured around France and Belgium with The Computers and regularly play with the big-hitters from the hardcore world including; H20, Madball, Crime In Stereo, The Ghost Of A Thousand and many many more… they are playing regular shows across the coming months and are gearing up for even more dates across the UK this Autumn.
