Biography

The Departed are a five-piece melodic hardcore band, often likened to Bane, Comeback Kid, Modern Life Is War, Dead Swans, Champion and other bands of such caliber. Chiming melodic riffs over blisteringly fast palm muted verses make for a polished, well presented, excellent example of a 21st Century hardcore band.

The Departed formed in 2006, with a dwindling music scene in the Grimsby area, something needed to be done. A passionate, honest, hardworking band is what the scene needed, and it’s precisely what the scene got. Since the bands first practice, some three or four years have passed, relentlessly writing, grafting around their home town, trying to get their name about. In the relatively short amount of time that the band have been together, The Departed have done three full UK tours, and two tours of mainland Europe, seemingly leaving not one venue untouched, to call The Departed a hard working band, would be an understatement.
