Lockjaw Team Update: February
The most rewarding thing about this thriving music scene that we’re a part of is meeting people who share our enthusiasm for all things live and loud. So that you can come and grab us for a chat, we thought we ought to tell you where we are!
We’ll be bringing you a monthly update from the Lockjaw Team with our recommendations, tribulations and gig schedules.

This week I'm sleeping. This weekend I met up with the Almeida to start to make something which should be ready very soon. GET EXCITED! At the end of the month I leave off on tour with Burnt Tapes, the guys smashed it last weekend at Gullivers I can’t wait to see them smash it every night, I’ve heard I’ll be bumping into Forever Unclean too. The tour travels over the mainland through Germany. Check the dates on the socials and come and see us.

Can we all agree to plan more friend fests? That’d be great. Shout Louder Fest was a beautiful gathering of people from far and near. And by the end of it I walked away with firmer friendships and met many more awesome people... But what about that line-up, hey? Fantastic start to end with some great variety. Congrats to Sarah for putting it together and smashing it out of the park!
If you thought January was quiet, my February is dead silent. We’ve got the Midwich Cuckoos hitting Camden this weekend and I’ll probably check out what’s happening at my local venue, the Fighting Cocks. Feel free to throw me some suggestions. Holla at your girl!

Can we all agree to plan more house shows? That’d be great. I was once again reminded how lovely house shows can be when I caught We Bless This Mess at my friends’ house. (Hi Lisa & Jason!) A very wholesome and wonderful event.
Also mention-worthy: the excellent live performance of Muncie Girls with Culture Abuse and Basement in Antwerp last week.
February already started off great with Antillectual and Satanic Surfers in Oostende. At the end of the month, I’ll be freezing my butt off in Finland to see Satanic Surfers, Venerea and One Hidden Frame. Much excite!

Can we all agree to plan more skatepunk shows? That’d be great. Just got back from Shout Louder Fest, which was incredible. Best bands, best buds, best drunk pictures. Can’t remember ever seeing so much Scottish nekid men. But there’s for everything I guess. Big ups to Aerial Salad, whom I saw for the first time. Awesome vibes. Burnt Tapes, PMX, The Human Project, Fair Do’s, all beautiful.
Tour with Wolfrik got announced last week, so majorly siked about that. Planning on visiting Vegan A’Fairs this weekend - a fair about all things vegan, Captain Obvious.
