Coral Springs is a band from the west coast of the Netherlands. The band is defined by a love for pop punk and skatepunk in the vein of bands like State Champs, Rise Against and New Found Glory. And the ways in which they seek for balance between the irresistible catchiness of pop music and the energy and intensity of punk rock. This balance is one of the qualities that makes their debut album ‘Always Lost, Never Found’ unique. It’s a surprisingly versatile record that seamlessly alternates fast upbeat punk rock songs with infectious powerpop and tinges of emo.
Ever since the band’s founding, Coral Springs has grasped every opportunity to do fun things and make great memories together. This includes playing local festivals like Mildtfest and Werfpop and international festivals like Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia and Book Yer Ane Fest in Scotland. The release of ‘Always Lost, Never Found’ was followed by shows in Belgium, Germany and Finland. In 2022 the band played Manchester Punk Fest in the United Kingdom.
After getting the wind knocked out of their sails by the pandemic Coral Springs slowly regained purpose, writing new music as a coping mechanism. The band hit the studio in the beginning of 2023 with producer Jasper van den Broek (Call It Off, For I Am King) to record several new songs which are scheduled to be released later this year.
With these new songs, their “expect nothing, give everything” attitude, a modest ambition and free from pretentiousness Coral Springs is ready for (and looking forward to) anything that the future might bring.
