Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Wolfrik are a five-piece technical punk machine powered by metal-driven precision, blistering riffs and impossibly tight performance chops. Since forming, they’ve fused the speed and aggression of skate-inspired punk with the complexity and weight of modern metal, carving out a standout voice in the underground.
After earning their stripes locally with the 2017 EP Skeleton City (Lockjaw Records UK / Thousand Island Records CAN), Wolfrik turned their focus to touring and international exposure. With support from Steve Rawles (Belvedere / MBBM), 2019 became a breakout year: they toured Europe for three weeks, played respected festivals like Manchester Punk Festival and SBÄM Fest, and supported No Fun at All on a cross-Canada tour, all while thrilling audiences with their technical intensity.
In 2022, the band released their debut full-length album Clones, a ferocious and finely-crafted collection that pushes their sound further into jagged, heavy territory while keeping a punk heart. The record balances blistering tempo changes, hook-laden riffs and precision musicianship, a definitive leap that stands as one of the most compelling crossovers between modern hardcore punk and technical metal.
