Name: Mark Seifeddine

Instrument: Rhythm Guitar

When it comes to gear I like to keep things pretty simple. My go-to guitar is a Honeyburst Gibson Les Paul Standard. I've always been a huge fan of Les Paul's to me there isn't a better guitar out there when it comes to feel and sound.

I run it with an Orange TH 30 Head and a 4x12 Mesa Cabinet. My pedal set up is where lots of my tone is created. A Dunlop Echo-Plex Preamp, Ibanez T9 Tube Screamer and MXR Smart Gate keep my rig sounding mean and crispy. Because of the natural high gain that comes from an Orange Amplifier, combined with the additional overdrive (Tube Screamer) and boost from the pre amp, the MXR Smart Gate is a life saver. It cuts back all the buzz and feedback keeping my sound clean without taking away from the warm heavy tones.

I use Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings and Jim Dunlop Jazz III picks.

As a songwriter I have many influences, some of them are shredders but most are complete musicians who know how to put songs together. To name a few:

  • Trevor Reilly - A Wilhelm Scream
  • Sammy Duet - Goatwhore
  • Dave Davidson -Revocation
  • Dustin Kensrue -Thrice
  • Willie Watson - Old Crow Medicine Show

Cheers people see you on tour!

Instrument: Bass Guitar

The current bass I use to play in Wolfrik is a Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass. It comes stock with two pickups that I have no complaints with, 1 split-coil Precision pickup (mid) and 1 single-coil Jazz pickup (bridge). My string of choice is 50-105 Ernie Ball Regular Slinky.

This instrument is sleek and extremely lightweight which is perfect for a high energy performance. It puts out a beautiful combination of low and bright tones, great for fast/heavy tunes. I’m running a Hartke HA3500 head. This beast has a 10 band equalizer on it, which allows you to fine tune your tone so it’s just right.

I am, on the other hand, thinking of switching to an Ampeg of some sort. As the bass player in Wolfrik, I feel like the bass doesn’t have to be overly complicated because the guitar are almost constantly shredding licks, so I like to follow root notes but also add in some bass flare where it’s appropriate.

I like to have a couple cocktails before playing too and several while I’m playing, then several after.

My playing style derives from bassists such as:

  • Brett Bamberger (Revocation)
  • Matt Williams (He is Legend)
  • John Campbell (Lamb of God)
  • And my favorite, Brian Robinson (A Wilhelm Scream).

Cheers from Canada!

Name: Kevin Perry

Instrument: Lead Guitar

I’ve been through a number of axes in Wolfrik but my current guitar is actually one of Mark's. He got it from his dad when he was 18 for graduating high school and it still rips!

It’s a white Schecter C1-Elite with custom EMG 81/85 pickups. This guitar delivers all sorts of shreddies due to it’s sleek body. The aftermarket pickups make the tone a lot heavier without taking away any clarity, essential for melodic music.

I run it through a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with a Green 4x12 Mesa Cab. Green is dope.

My overall tone and playing style derives from:

  • Kris Norris (former guitarist of Darkest Hour)
  • Ryan Knight (former guitarist of The Black Dahlia Murder)
  • Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire)
  • Chris Creswell (The Flatliners).

Four different players but all equally as amazing. I can’t express how excited I am to play tunes for everyone overseas! See you all soon!

Name: Nathan Troock

Instrument: Drums

Hello! Nathan Troock here from Wolfrik and this is the kit I bang on. I use a sweet, bright orange Tama Hyperdrive Superstar maple kit. The brightest of oranges really... BOOM:

  • 22” x 18” Bass Drum
  • 10” x 6.5” Tom
  • 12” x 7” Tom
  • 14” x 12” Floor Tom
  • 16” x 14” Floor Tom
  • Pearl Reference Brass Snare

For my cymbals, all I have ever bought is Sabian, love that Sabian... The sound and play of Sabian cymbals is amazing. (Have I mentioned I’m looking for endorsements?) PSHH:

  • 14” Sabian AAX X-Plosion Hi-Hats
  • 18” Sabian AAX XPlosion Crash
  • 20” HH Chinese Crash
  • 19” AAX X-Plosion Crash
  • 21” Sabian AAX Raw Bell Dry Ride
  • 8” Sabian AAX Splash
  • Sabian Chopper

I’m a sucker for double kick, mine is a Frankensteined Pedal, Pearl and Dixon (not sponsored). For sticks I use Shira Kashi Oak 5b.

My drumming style come from quite the variety of drummers. To name a few, Travis Barker, Jordan Burns, the Rev, Blake Richardson, Alex Rudinger and Gene Hoglan. I try to force myself to watch an Aric Impromta, Thomas Lang or Benny Greb video at least once a day to remind myself to keep playing and getting better.

In the meantime, I’m super stoked about heading over the pond to blast some beats for ya’ll!! CHEERS FROM CA!

Name: Dylan Toews

Instrument: nothing…

Hey it’s Dylan, and I yell at things on behalf of Wolfrik.

Personally I’m a big fan of using whatever mic the venue happens to have. It’s an even added bonus if it isn’t soaked in the slobber from the previous singer, but depending on the singer I suppose it’s alright.

I find the best way to lube up my pipes for a night of noise is to chug back a refreshing lucky lager (sponsorship idea?) or whatever the venue has on special that night.

Not a big mic stand guy. I mean I can see their purpose but just isn’t for me. I’ve got hands.

I like singing along to a lot of tracks but some of my biggest influences for vocals would have to be:

  • Keith Buckley (Every Time I Die)
  • Nuno Pereira (A Wilhelm Scream)
  • Schuylar Croom (He Is Legend)
  • Liam Cormier (Cancer Bats)

Stoked for 2019 baby!!!
